From Fertility and Sterility

Thick endometrium is associated with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy in programmed frozen-thawed embryo transfers: a retrospective analysis of 2.275 singleton deliveries

This retrospective cohort study demonstrates a noteworthy association between endometrial thickness and adverse perinatal outcomes during programmed frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. A thick endometrium ( >12 mm) was independently associated with an increased risk of developing hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

From F&S Reports

First clinical validation of whole genome screening on standard trophectoderm biopsies of preimplantation embryos

The objective of this paper is to validate the performance of a lab-developed whole genome screening assay within clinical preimplantation genetic testing environments. The study demonstrates high accuracy for aneuploidy calls (>99.9%) and genetic variants (99.99%), even in the absence of parental genomes, as well as advancements in genomic screening and an extended scope for testing capabilities in the realm of preimplantation genetic testing.

From F&S Science

Dysregulated expression of GATA2 and GATA6 transcription factors in adenomyosis: implications for impaired endometrial receptivity

This laboratory based experimental study looks at the effect of adenomyosis on the localized expression of the GATA binding proteins 2 and 6 (GATA2 and GATA6) zinc-finger transcription factors that are involved in proliferation of hematopoietic and endocrine cell lineages, cell differentiation, and organogenesis, potentially leading to impaired endometrial implantation. In-vivo and in-vitro experiment results demonstrate that there is an overall inverse relationship between endometrial GATA2 and GATA6 levels in patients with adenomyosis who have diminished GATA2 levels and concurrently elevated GATA6 levels.

From F&S Reviews

Vaginoplasty for gender dysphoria and Mayer–Rokitansky–Küster–Hauser syndrome: a systematic review

This systematic review includes 52 studies with nine different vaginoplasty techniques. The review concludes that, for patients with Gender Dysphoria and Mayer–Rokitansky–Küster–Hauser Syndrome, multiple vaginoplasty techniques improve quality of life and self-image with low rates of complications, but there is a need for standardized validation tools.
